Who are you? Tell us a little bit about yourself...
I am a business professional with 50 years of experience in company startups, acquisitions,
fund raising, mergers, stock market flotation and much more.
What first inspired you to start writing?
I recognised that most companies who suffer from poor results usually do so because of a
lack of sales and to survive income must exceed outgoings in the long term. My books are
directed at sales professionals or budding sales professionals who want some insights into
how adopt some best practice principals of selling.
What made you want to work with Rowanvale and be published?
Choosing to work with Rowanvale was after I had made several calls to other
publishers…Rowanvale came over well and have proven to be a very good publisher for my
three books. I have three more in the pipeline and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.
When you’re not writing, what are you reading?
I usually only read non-fiction and I am currently reading the recent Sunday Times review of
the stories they have broken.
Which work are you most proud of?
The best is the first book…The Successful Sales Professional.
What’s your best advice for handling writer's block?
Walk away and chill for a while and it comes back.
What’s one thing you always have with you when you’re writing?
Nothing in particular…
What is the one book you would take with you if you were stuck on a desert island?
Anything about Winston Churchill.
What is the best part about being an independently published author?
A sense of achievement for a job that’s not easy…it does take focus and resilience to write
anything well.
What’s next for you?
I have another three books planned which I will get around to at some point!
