You'll work with our Marketing Advisors who will tailor their guidance to your book, your goals and your level of marketing experience. Whether you're completely new to marketing or already have experience promoting your work, our Marketing Advisors will work with you to create a strategy that's right for you..

We believe in helping authors build the confidence and knowledge to market their own work successfully. In an increasingly competitive publishing industry, understanding how to promote your book can make a significant difference, and we're here to support you throughout that journey. Our aim is to provide practical, cost-effective advice that helps you develop long-term marketing skills
Unlike publishers who simply publish a book and move on, we continue working with our authors after publication because we want to see their books succeed and find the right audience. As Rowanvale shares in book royalties, we're invested in helping your book reach as many readers as possible. When your book performs well, we benefit too, giving us every reason to support your long-term success.
While our service is primarily advisory, we are also trialling more hands-on marketing support where appropriate, allowing us to provide practical assistance alongside personalised guidance.
This service is currently only available to authors published under our imprint and is not available as a stand-alone service.

Using professional keyword and category software, we'll review and improve your existing keywords and categories to help increase your book's visibility, which gives it the best possible opportunity to perform well on Amazon.
●Amazon Guidance = Following your Amazon Analysis, we'll help you improve your book's rankings and work towards increasing sales by sharing up-to-date advice on book reviews, promotional tools and effective Amazon marketing techniques. We place particular emphasis on Amazon because of the opportunity it provides authors to build visibility, rankings and sales, before expanding their focus to other retailers.
●Website & Blog Creation = Guidance on creating your own author website and developing a blog to help build your readership and establish your online presence.
●Social Media Campaigns = Advice on growing a loyal audience across social media platforms, including Facebook, X, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Goodreads. The team is also trialling aspects of hands-off marketing, including social media and content creation, where some tasks can be carried out with minimal input from the author.
●Offline Marketing = Guidance on promoting your book offline, including how to approach physical bookshops, libraries and author events.
●PR & Media Outreach = Guidance on creating a targeted PR plan and identifying relevant newspapers, magazines, radio stations and other media opportunities that could help increase awareness of your book. Your Marketing Advisor can advise you on how to approach these opportunities, although direct media outreach is handled by the author or a PR company.
●Influencer & Endorsement Guidance = Advice on identifying suitable influencers and credible figures who may be able to endorse your book, as well as guidance on how to approach them. Endorsements can help provide potential readers and retailers with additional confidence in your book.
●Target Marketing Plans = Helping you identify your target audience and develop practical ways of reaching new readers to increase book awareness and sales.
●Goal Management = Working with you to create realistic, achievable marketing goals that suit your available time and ambitions.
●Brand Building = Guidance on developing a recognisable author brand and strengthening your online presence.
●Marketing Tutoring = Personal one-to-one support tailored to both your book and your level of marketing experience.

The service is predominantly advisory, so getting the most from it means actively engaging with your Marketing Advisor and putting their recommendations into practice. However, the team is also trialling aspects of hands-off marketing, including social media and content creation, where some tasks can be carried out with minimal input from the author.
You can also use the support alongside your own PR activities or with the help of a PR company. If you choose to carry out your own publicity, your Marketing Advisor can guide you on how to identify opportunities and approach relevant contacts.
