Who are you? Tell us a little bit about yourself...
I was born in Southampton in 1968, and was educated at Eynsham's Bartholomew School near Oxford. I have autism and Tourette's Syndrome and live in accommodation for people with autism in Maidenhead. I have written Nature's Revenge, A Trio of Cartels, Web of Crime, Fear of the Unknown, and Claws of Fear. My latest published book is Trouble Near Timlook.

What first inspired you to start writing?
I was inspired to start writing by Walt Disney cartoons about animals, Beatrix Potter tales and Roald Dahl's Fantastic Mr. Fox. From the ages of nineteen to twenty-six, I wrote Woodland Wars, Kolya, Pennsylvania Cops, and my autobiography, but all four books got lost. In 1996 and 1997, aged twenty-eight, I wrote my first published novel Nature's Revenge, which was published in 2012.

What made you want to work with Rowanvale and be published?
I wanted to work with Rowanvale because they gave me a better deal and better support and help than my previous American publisher Rosedog. Rosedog Books at Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania charged me enormous sums of money. Rowanvale Books are a brilliant organisation who help with advertising, marketing and aftercare, and involve me throughout the whole publishing process. I also knew they catered to new writers.

When you’re not writing, what are you reading?
When I'm not writing, I'm reading books about Nature throughout the world, and one book about the Amish in Pennsylvania. I also read my previous books. I have read factual books on other countries, and a cookery book.

Which work are you most proud of?
I am most proud of the fourth Dave Bradley novel The New England Net, which will begin publication in November. The published book I am most proud of is Trouble Near Timlook.

What’s your best advice for handling writer's block?
My best advice for handling writer's block is give yourself a break from writing to clear your mind. Ideas will make more sense to you instead of being jumbled up. Only when you’re happy and you feel like writing should you start writing again, and your style will flow brilliantly.

What’s one thing you always have with you when you’re writing?
There is only one thing I have when I am writing, and that's my laptop. Next to this is my printer for printing what I write on my computer.

What is the one book you would take with you if you were stuck on a desert island?
If I was stuck on a desert island, one book I would always have with me is The New England Net.

What is the best part about being an independently published author?
The best part about being an independently published author is that I can entertain readers with new, original ideas for American police and fantasy novels. I am not tied to conventional norms, like police novels about serial killers or Victorian history dramas.

What’s next for you?
After publishing Trouble Near Timlook, I will publish The New England Net. Recently I have written a fifth Dave Bradley novel called Bent on Justice, as well as two more Marion Weisberg novellas, Journey of Fear and Toxic Fear. My next book I will write will be two Dave Bradley novellas in one book, No Greater Evil and No Greater Wickedness.
