Ralf Schneider
About the Author
Ralf Schneider is an author, father of two sons, global citizen, leadership adviser, entrepreneur, and admirer of curiosity and the beauty of life in all its contradictions. His sons regularly point out that he doesn’t follow his own advice.
He has spent twenty-five years working with leaders and teams across four continents—as a PwC global partner, group head of HR at HSBC, and founder of Digital Circles AG. Mostly, he listened. His research on courage in leadership grew out of a simple question he kept hearing in different languages, in different industries, on different floors of different buildings: “Why don’t we just say what we actually think?”
This booklet draws on extensive consulting and coaching work with organisations worldwide, and on original empirical research into how courage operates in leadership, teams, and culture. The full research and methodology will be published in 2026 in The Courage Factor.
He lives in Zürich. He likes good coffee, long walks, and conversations where people stop being polite and start being honest. He has been married, divorced, and brave enough to try again.
This book was written to be passed on. If it’s in your hands, someone thought of you.
