Why do I need to provide a synopsis for editorial feedback?

We require a brief paragraph on what the story is all about, so that our Writing Advisors are aware of the plot and content of the book, and can engage fully with the text. It is absolutely no problem if there are sub-plots or elements of the story that have yet to be written. We expect this from our clients, as they tend to be in the early stages of writing their manuscript and we appreciate that some things have yet to be developed. A rough idea of what you think the story is likely to be about is absolutely fine.
