What are the advantages of publishing in paperback format?

Although the eBook market has grown exponentially over the last few years, paperbacks are still widely read and there is an argument that, for authors to reach the broadest market, readers often expect a paperback version of their book to be released. There are still many people who do not own and are not looking to purchase an e-reader and, again, this is a reason why a paperback version of a book is still very important, especially in the early stages of a writer's career when they are looking to build up a potential target market.
