I am an illustrator, based in Cardiff, and have my own small business. After studying BA Hons Illustration at UWTSD, I started my own shop, stocking prints and stickers, and began freelancing in illustration. I use a combination of traditional and digital methods to create my illustrations as I love the hand made feel it gives to my illustrations. I love injecting my humour and sarcasm into my illustrations, creating witty and unique characters. I am excited to help you bring all your visions to life! PLEASE NOTE: The total cost of an illustration project is calculated to include 4hrs of author liaison time, so that the author is fully involved in the illustration process. Illustration Styles
Style 1 - Simplified Shapes
A combination of hand-drawn line work and digital colouring. This style is built upon bold line work and colours. This style has less detail and there is little texture or shading to place emphasis on the bold shapes and colours.

Style 2 - Detailed Realistic Buildings and Landscapes
This style is also a mixed media approach with hand-drawn line work and digital colouring. This style contains a lot of intricate details and lots of shading and textures. The textures tend to be similar to charcoal or watercolour to give effects of shadows and texture on the buildings. This style is ideal for illustrations of buildings.

This style has more detail, texture and shading than style 1, but can still be a quite simple approach. This style is best for detailed illustrations with or without the inclusion of characters.

Style 4 - Character Design (Cartoon)
Characters designed in a modern cartoon style and can be placed on a very simple background. This is again carried out in a mixed media approach. This is ideal for showing off a specific character with a pose or a vignette.

Style 5 - Characters in Situ (Cartoon)
This style combines the mixed media and character design styles. This would include a character design with a background, but a simpler, less-detailed background. The character would be the main focus of the illustration, but it places the character into the setting.

This style uses the traditional pen and ink method with a combination of watercolour paint. These characters feel more like traditional children’s book illustrations. The illustrations may be enhanced digitally to make them more vibrant. This style includes a character in pose or a very simplified background.
