Coldharbour II: The Dead Land

Laura Clarke Walker

October 1999: Alex Wilde gives up her Power, the hereditary magic running through her veins and keeping her alive (often against her will).
December 2000: Alex Wilde is more than ready for a quiet Coldharbour Christmas with Elizabeth Black, ex-assassin and love of her life.
After all, Alex can’t even see ghosts any more, let alone heal on command or banish demons.
Except …
She is dreaming again.
She dreams of vengeful spirits and the long-since Dead and the ruins of a church that should still be standing.
When Elizabeth lets slip something that will change their relationship forever, Alex wonders how much she’s been taking her non-Powerful life for granted.
But there’s no time to stop, let alone panic, when a mystery sickness sweeps through their little seaside town: a sickness with fangs. Coldharbour grows silent and dark when it should be alive with Christmas carols and festive lights, leaving Alex and Elizabeth to contend with something they had never even considered:
Vampires are real.
And they are taking a very great interest in Alex’s family.
