‘Today is looking pretty grim You’re going to see the Goblin King…’

In The Goblin King, Paul Stevens weaves a charming tale with characters based on his own son, niece and nephew. When Ellie the fairy is taken as a gift for the dreaded Goblin King, her best friends must go on an adventure to rescue her.

Follow Jake the dwarf and Rhys the elf as they battle witches and dragons, as well as the Goblin King himself, to get Ellie back. This wonderful poem uses humour, rhythm and engaging characters to teach young readers about bravery, determination and, above all, friendship.

About the Author

A first-time author from Glais, Swansea, Paul Stevens wrote The Goblin King when his young son grew fond of his invented verses about the Goblin King – and what better judge could there be? Aimed at a young age group, The Goblin King will both teach and delight little girls and boys. Paul has in turn fallen in love with writing, and is currently putting pen to paper in other projects.
