About the Author

Jonathon hails from Bradford, West Yorkshire, and has been writing for as long as he can remember. Any movie buffs out there will recognise the council flat he grew up in as seen in the opening minutes of the cult 1987 film Rita, Sue and Bob Too – the home in which he first started working on his craft. In school he wrote and directed two school plays, ‘The Three Billy Goats Gruff’ and ‘The GingerBread Viking’, and won his first (and only) short story competition aged just 9, becoming the infamous ‘Beacon Bard’. Jonathon works at a truck and van dealership, following previous spells at a call centre, secondary school and supermarket. He is also an amateur rugby league player, drinks tea by the gallon, owns a copy of every single Asterix book and has donated platelets over 100 times. Jonathon's father is from the Falklands, so the author is hoping to visit the Islands one day.
