About the Author

David Gibson currently lives in North Wales after relocating in 2002 from Grasmere in the beautiful Lake District. He then began ‘The Wandering Woods Series’ whilst studying for an English and Creative writing degree at Glyndwr University, Wrexham, after spending many years attempting to write a series of fantasy novels. Having two children (a daughter aged six, and a son aged three), David drew his inspiration for Amber: A Fairy Tale from the two of them, and originally wrote ‘The Wandering Woods Series’ as bedtime stories for his children. Much of his daughter is within the character of Amber, and his son prevails within the planned third book of the series. Amber: A Fairy Tale is the first of a series based in the fictional realm of the Wandering Woods. David is also working on several adult novels and screen plays, as well as the next instalments in ‘The Wandering Woods Series’.
